Frequently asked questions.

  • There are a few reasons working with a travel advisor like me is beneficial:

    1. I save you time.

Planning a trip is time consuming - we’re talking hours of destination research, scouring reviews to select the right accommodations, and figuring out logistics of getting from Point A to Point B efficiently.

Some people find the planning process stressful and overwhelming - which can often lead to even more time trying to plan, or abandoned planning efforts altogether.

And that’s where I come in! Travel advisors live and breathe for the planning process. We’re there to tackle the details for you and save you time along the way - all while curating an epic itinerary just for you.

    2. I make it personal.

Simply put, I love doing this.

I treat every trip proposition as if it were my own travels. I find genuine joy discovering destinations, and adding personal touches to an itinerary that will really connect with the traveler and their interests.

It is the greatest compliment when someone reaches out for recommendations or trip ideas because I’m so dang passionate about sharing the places and experiences that make this world feel like magic.

I want you to come back from your trip seeing the globe as one giant disco ball - full of dazzling possibilities.

    3. I’m a seasoned traveler.

Travel advisors have been all over the globe. We have firsthand experience, insider knowledge, and a professional travel network that will truly enhance your vacation.

I have personal travel experience in 40+ countries and throughout the United States, which means I am well-equipped to assist you on journeys around the globe.

For destinations I haven’t personally traveled, my affiliation with Fora means I’m part of a greater network of travel advisors who have definitely been there, done that. In the event I don’t have the answer - one of my amazing fellow advisors will!

    4. Did I mention the perks?

Through our preferred partnerships and hospitality network, travel advisors can often provide exclusive benefits to make you feel like a VIP. Room upgrades, spa credits, early check-in/late check-out, onboard cruise credits…all at no cost to you.

    So, where are we headed?

  • Being respectful of your budget is always a top priority for me! Generally speaking, the rates I work with are the Best Available Rates offered directly from hotel properties.

That said, the value add in travel advisors is the time and expertise we provide - not necessarily discounts.

Where applicable, booking through me secures various perks that equate to hundreds of dollars in value - things like free room upgrades, early check-in, late check-out, free breakfast, spa credits, and onboard cruise credits.

What you will absolutely save, however, is time.

Need to make a name change on a cruise booking? I’ll wait on hold with the cruise line for you and take care of it. Have a special request for the hotel? I’ll handle it. Wanting to find the perfect accommodation for your group trip but don’t have 3 hours to scour the internet? I’ve got you!

As a travel advisor, I do the heavy lifting for you. That convenience, coupled with my planning expertise from extensive international travels, means I can provide invaluable guidance.

  • That depends!

For hotel bookings that are part of Disco Terra’s Preferred Partner Network, you can use my services completely free. Cruises and all-inclusive resorts are generally free to book as well.

For more bespoke itineraries, I charge a planning fee that varies based on length/complexity of the trip. See a pricing breakdown of my services here.

  • My planning fee accounts for the time it takes me to pull everything together - conducting the initial planning consultation; researching the destination; vetting hotels and excursions; submitting proposals; communicating as necessary with suppliers to confirm reservations and applicable perks; completing the actual booking; providing support throughout the planning process and during the trip itself; etcetera.

My planning fee also goes towards administrative costs to help keep my small business in operation.

  • Amazing!! Looking forward to working together.

We’ll start things off with a client intake form; this is a questionnaire designed to get an idea of the basics - where you’re wanting to go, with whom, for how long, for how much, etc.

From there, we’ll follow up with a 30-minute consultation call. This is where we’ll really dive deep into things so I can gain a full understanding of who you are and what your ideal travels look like.

Following our call, I’ll send a quote for my planning fee, which varies based on the length and complexity of the trip.

If you decide to move forward with the process, the planning fee will be due in full at this time. This fee is nonrefundable.

Once planning fee payment is received, I’ll develop an initial trip proposal and submit to you for approval. Any requested changes are made to the proposal until you’re completely satisfied with the trip, and then it’s time to book!

Leading up to departure and throughout your journey, I’ll be available for support to answer any questions, rectify any issues, or simply get you hyped for your upcoming trip!

At the conclusion of your travels I’ll send a voluntary Trip Feedback Survey to get your intel on how everything went to ensure I’m able to provide the best service I can.

  • Please reach out!

As long as the reservation was made directly with the hotel, it’s possible I can do what’s called a “takeover booking”. This means the hotel will recognize me as the agent of record on the booking, and apply any applicable perks (e.g. room upgrade, spa credits, early check-in/late check-out, etc.) to the reservation.
