Disco Terra Travel is an independent agency run by a self-proclaimed travel addict (so much so I ditched my corporate career to become a flight attendant 6 years ago!)

I’m Shelley DeHekker, aforementioned travel addict, Fora Travel affiliate, and go-to trip planner amongst my friends and family for as long as I can remember. I’ve been to 40+ countries and throughout the United States, and am constantly dreaming of my next adventure - and I’d love to dream up yours, too!

I started Disco Terra so I could share my joy for the journey with others, by curating epic travel experiences that make the world feel within reach.

What’s your travel planning style?

My Type A personality means I crave the details. I appreciate the value of a well-thought-out, organized agenda that captures a healthy balance - adventure and relaxation, partying and wellness, classic sightseeing and off-the-beaten-path discoveries.

Whether that resonates with you or you prefer a different style of traveling, my aim is to get to know you and your travel goals so I can best make your vacation vision board a reality. My approach is hands-on and personal, so you can feel as if you’re getting the most customized travel experience with the least amount of stress.

Why the name Disco Terra Travel?

I’m based in Brooklyn, NY, where my other addiction - electronic music and its disco ball dance floors - is satiated. Nothing comes close to the bliss and freedom of expression I feel getting lost in the music at a festival or rave - except, that is, travel. The name Disco Terra is a nod to my two passions, and the beauty and possibility I see equally in the globe and the disco ball.
